  I was having such a good time when i swapped the JAV for the 2x RPG! And then My PS3 did a wobbler.
  I don't prestige, i just shoot, with my technicolour dreamlocker of brightly-coloured guns!
  For me the game is about getting lots of kills (WITHOUT camping!) and taking the piss out of the other team (i so love to throw smoke at their spawn as soon as the game starts!) i guess some games i'm very average, but some you can't touch this! but its always fun, so this hacking malarky kinda ruins it for some people, which i can understand.
  Still, the most annoying thing about the game is people taking the bomb in S&D and camping with it! wtf!?

  Wrip Wraps, I don't see how the lack of dedicated servers has anything to do with the hacking of game save files? We had people hacking the leader boards in COD4. Now, if you were to lament their lazy programming on the other hand...

  I hear U Yeti mate there wil always be hacks, but with MW2 and the angry PC gamers it has attracted the attention of proper hackers, hackers that wouldn't be bothered with video games normally. Anger the PC gamers and U have lots of hackers targeting IW.
  The same as any corporate building will get smashed up at G8 summits etc.
  Proper PRO hackers are trying to smash up MW2 because of IW.

  that 1.07 firmware was that a joke or something cause nothing has changed or been fixed. I am disapointed with IW. The game has been out a while now they havent really done anything to fix any issues.

  You must be getting different patches then mate cos everyone i have had has fixed something, matchmaking is miles better, nob heads with double shotguns are not as superhuman anymore, the javelin bug has gone, no goons hiding in rocks on Afghan so thats at least 4 things fixed off the top of my head.

  I saw a good ninja defuse on karachi, the one where there is a diner next to it. They normally run off behind the diner and by the time they know whats going on you have defused the bomb

  This game is absolutely fantastic. Obviously a latecomer to it (got xmas) but love the new look to it. Air support was a little overwhelming at first but getting the hang of that and have taken a few down now. Only at rank 11 just now but yeah, better than COD4 imo.
  Maybe I've just come in at the right time with all the patches mind you.

  Love the little facts it gives you after a game. Spy game - Spent most time watching killcams.....yip that was me.

  I've heard rumours that hacked 10th prestigers are getting banned by IW, slowly one by one.
  Bollox really because they obviously don't have a definitive way of knowing someone has used the 2 hack files, or IW don't care anymore.
  I know of people that have used the prestige hack to get themselves onto the 5th or 6th prestige and for the last 2 weeks + have been boosting their total online game clock to make it look more legit

  Fascinated to read all this. I finally got a PS3 today as my PS2 was running out of steam. I got MW2 as well as Uncharted 2 and Tekken 6. I've spent all day just setting it all up and downloading updates and haven't started gaming yet.
  I'm hoping there are plenty of ways to get to grips with MW2 before getting slaughtered. Also hoping it's not like Battlefield 2 online where you just get corpse camped endlessly. Still, it's all a bit of fun and if some spotty oik wants to boost his manhood by cheating that's his problem. I'm happily in my early 30's and am just going to have fun with the game.

  I seen Galv play once on 4 and he was doing jumps to get places that I didnt even know you could go to.
  I really really like this though, wasnt expecting to so much. Like I say, maybe cause I missed all the hacking stuff. I would actually get rid of 4 now apart from I would get F all for it, and my brother still now and again plays his (and hasnt bought MW2)

  just IW need to sort out all the people using the prestige hack
  it has undermined and devalued the whole ranking system for the hardcore lunatics like myself
  if they can't fix the hackers or eventually choose to just leave them then they should just make it double/triple XP for everyone all the time
  why should the honest gamers be forced to level up slowly and laboriously whilst cheating f**kers have maxed out already

  you'll get more satisfaction out of it doing it the hard way and in a years time most people will have reached prestige 10 level 70 regardless of how good they are and just through virtue of playing a long time, how are you going to be able to tell in a years time if someone has cheated to get there or not?

  Just got a 7 streak in F4A woohooo. I know this is low by normal standards, but by mine its great. I was lowest rank in there too, so just shows about the, in general, ranking only meaning time played.
  I'm falling into a COD4 habit of only using the one gun though (unless I run out of bullets) I'll need to try them all.

  I usuall just use one gun at a time, until I have done all the kill challenges for it then move on to the next one. And in MW2 the kill challenges go on and on but every little helps it takes so long to prestige!

  I never thought of that! He'll of a way to get to rank 18 tho lol.
  It's kinda funny how some people specialise in certain areas, some will only snipe others use shotguns and some the knife :eek: love to see his k/d ratio, after all the knife is the ultimate close range weapon, not very flexable no pun intended.
  EDIT oh I forgot u can throw knives in MW2 lol, cool weapon!
